Thomas oversees the facility operations and maintenance services at seven EMCOR Facilities Services customer sites, including two data center operations. He helps to ensure that the facilities are maintained and schedules repairs, renovation projects, waste reduction improvements, and safety inspections.
Thomas serves as the primary point of contact, maintaining a budget and negotiating with outside vendors to moderate costs. His goal is to keep the facilities operating at peak performance while mitigating as many risks as possible.
Expertise
Thomas is a licensed electrician with over thirty years of professional, electrical, and managerial experience. Much of his expertise was gained during his 16-year tenure with Fidelity Investments. As a senior engineer manager, he directed a team of highly skilled data center engineers in all aspects of preventative and corrective maintenance for critical infrastructure and building facilities.
Thomas advanced to senior manager of data center operations where he managed the daily performance of all electrical, mechanical, fire protection, building automation, and monitoring systems. He provided technical oversight across data center operations that resulted in increased energy efficiency and reduced costs.
Thomas completed the electrical program at Lynn Vocational and Technical Institute in Lynn, Massachusetts. He is a LEED Green Associate through the U.S. Green Building Council and is an electrical control systems specialist.
The Personal Side
Thomas is married with two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys boating, skiing, traveling, motorcycling, and spending time with his friends and family.
