Ron helps ensure that Building Technology Engineers (BTE) personnel are provided with a safe, productive working environment. He assists our crews in mitigating the risk of recognized workplace hazards by monitoring and maintaining pertinent safe work practices and ensuring that all BTE personnel are compliant.

In addition, Ron conducts worksite safety inspections and provides onsite supervision of worksites within the BTE organization when needed. As a life-long safety advocate, he eagerly offers safety support and guidance to all who inquire.

Expertise

Ron has over two decades of experience in both general industry and construction safety. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed, developed, and implemented safety policies, procedures, and workplace hazard assessment programs. 

Ron attributes much of his expertise to his seventeen-year tenure with H&M Metals, Inc. He was the safety and HR manager there, and he leveraged his safety skills to educate and instill safety compliance within the company.;

Prior to joining the BTE team, he spent the last six years as safety manager at Greater Lowell Technical High School. He focused on educating the students, staff, and teachers in safety awareness, facilitating OSHA courses, and enforcing safety policies and compliance.

Ron has successfully completed a number of safety certification programs, including OSHA-510 and 511, OSHA-500 and 501 courses through OSHA-Keene State, Fire and Life Safety, NFPA-70E electrical standard, Asbestos Awareness training, and Globally Harmonized System training.

The Personal Side

Ron is an avid Boston sports fan and spends his spare time with family and friends. He especially enjoys spoiling his grandchildren. As of late, Ron and his wife have vacationed to the Dominican Republic, Sweden, and Denmark.
